Chemist - III

Joule, a System One division is seeking a Chemist III for a contract position.? Must haves:?

Knowledgeable in the following: Spectroscopic characterization techniques such as FTIR, RAMAN. Preferred but not required ? SEM-EDX experience

Preferred but not required ? ED-XRF experience


  • Successful performance requires a sound basic knowledge of the individual scientific discipline and the ability to apply fundamental principles and techniques to the problems assigned.
  • Background in chemistry preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in the following:
    • Spectroscopic characterization techniques such as FTIR, RAMAN.
    • Preferred but not required ? SEM-EDX experience.
    • Preferred but not required ? ED-XRF experience.
    • Strongly preferred: Laboratory documentation practices in alignment with a GMP / GLP environment.
    • Can work with people with diverse skillsets and educational backgrounds / multidisciplinary environment.
    • Must operate with a safety-oriented mindset.?

Under the direction of senior staff members and in cooperation with other multidisciplinary team members, carries out research on:

  • Materials characterization
  • Manufacturing equipment troubleshooting
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing forensics work aimed at event root cause determination and preventive actions.
  • Expected to perform routine and general maintenance activities for a laboratory setting, such as but not limited to:
    • housekeeping
    • tracking
    • scheduling equipment/instrument maintenance activities
    • ordering supplies
    • supporting new instrument acquisition

?The nature of the work performed by the incumbent will be the resolution of specific manufacturing events, these are expected to be non-recurrent after resolution. Safety first and quality always, it is expected for the candidate to follow and abide by all safety rules and regulations including but not limited to personal protective equipment, laboratory best practices, hazardous material handling principles, etc.

NOTE: expected to work in an environment with potential beta-lactam antibiotic exposure.???

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
