Protein Scientist - HPLC, AKTA


  • Under the direction of a staff member, take the lead on assigned research problems contributing to the attainment of a defined research objective.

  • The nature of the work performed by the incumbent will normally be the solution of specific aspects of complex research problems.

  • Utilize biochemical laboratory tools and techniques used for protein purification such as microfiltration, tangential flow filtration, chromatography, gel electrophoresis, etc.

  • Independently and proactively execute procedures and experimental objectives in a timely and detail oriented manner.

  • Responsibilities will also include execution of various bioanalytical techniques.


  • B.S., M.S. or PhD in chemical or mechanical engineering; B.S.with?4+ years?experience; M.S. with?3+ years experience, PhD with?0-2 years experience

  • Experience performing analytical work including HPLC/UPLC (Waters/Empower), ELISA methods, SDS-PAGE, cIEF, qPCR and/or other protein characterization and biophysical methods a must

  • Previous experience working with protein purification utilizing AKTA/Unicorn systems desired

  • Experience working in a GLP and/or GMP environment desired

  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent analytical abilities and solid base in biochemical, biological and/or chemical engineering fundamentals.

  • Proven communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
